Going away for a week

So Brian and I are going away to sask and aren't going to be in the same place for half of the time, so instead of feeling guilty for the while time we're gone we're just taking this week off and will start week three on Tuesday when we get back... I honestly miss it the last two days we haven't been able to exercise, I an looking forward to getting back into it

Day 9,10

I missed a blog the other day so today was my 10th workout... The 9th did happen, just didn't blog it...
So tonight I had to workout alone cuz Brian had to work 4-12 and during the day we had the company of pete and Erin, which was fun! We actually planned to wake up early this morning and get a workout in because we're two days behind, but in the night the battery on my phone died so the alarm didn't go off and we slept in.  So if we are gonna stay on track with the calendar we'll have to do two workouts tomorrow... Which I'm not sure how that's gonna happen... Brian works 10-4 then we're going over to a friends place for supper... So I know we can get one in there in the evening for sure, but I'm not sure we'll make it happen in the morning.  I'll probably go solo again while Brian is at work and then do another when he gets home and I'll be all caught up! My oh my.  It's rather tough working out alone when you're used to having a partner, giving up half way through the workout crossed my mind today way more times than when I'm working out with bri... I think it's cuz I tend to be a little competitive with him! Tee hee...  Anywho... That's all for now, hopefully you'll hear from me tomorrow

Day 8

We worked our little butts off yesterday... laughed a bit.... i wasn't feeling it at first, but that just somehow motivated me to try harder. that was the most i sweat... it was intense. I took a video... i might post some of it... we'll see.

Day 7

Today I was feeling sooooo tired... Hitting the end of summer and I'm feeling it... It's been a long summer (I never thought I'd say that). But I know if we skip today we'll have to pick it up on another day and do two workouts which we did last week and I was not loving that! So we hunkered down and hit up Pure Cardio. It's crazy how much we sweat... Like we don't/can't go flat out at thus point, but I can't imagine how much we'd sweat if we could! Yikes. So we finished up, and drank our protein drink and i'm sure as soon as my head hits the pillow I'll be out! So I'm gonna make my way there, nighteo!

Day 6

Whoops forgot to blog yesterday... Well as if yesterday we completed a full week of the program. I started to think? Have I gotten stronger? Has it gotten easier? Am I noticing a difference? Well.... I know I'm not as sore the next day as I was after the first couple if work outs... But that could just mean i'm stretching better! Which is great.. Hmmm as for easier - heck no! It's still exhausting, but I gotta beleive that we're getting somewhere....

Day 5

Tonight as we promised ourselves we pushed through the "pure cardio" workout... We began just after 9pm.... Hopefully won't be doing that again! It went well.,. It was exhausting! I feel good that we're still going, I hope we're getting stronger... It's now 11:15 and I still need to shower.... Goodnight

Day 4

So yesterday I went ziplining in Whistler with some friends! It was AMAZING...



but by the time we got home it was way to late to have a date with Shawn T. So today we doing double duty. This morning we did Day 4: it was called Cardio Recovery... a slower paced workout that focused more on breathing, balance and working the whole muscle... so going deeper into moves... it was hard! it was nice that it was slower, but my oh my it was tough... This evening we'll do Day 5, i'll let you know how it goes!

Day 3



Well last night we had a friend come over for her birthday supper and she didn't end up leaving til late so we didn't get a chance to work our butts off so we decided that since sunday is supposed to be our day off, we'll just workout then and count yesterday as our day off....

So today we each conquered a day of regular 9-5/8-4 of work and greeted each other in our workout gear and a quick "good luck, I hope you don't die" was said... It's really unbelievable how much we're sweating by the end of the warmup! We have to do exercises that I've never even seen before... Some require coordination that creates giggles between huffs and puffs, others I have to count out loud "one two three step, one two three step" like I'm learning some dance choreography, but I actually think that one is a football warm-up move.


All that to say, we lived through day #3, I actually had sweat dripping off my face... I normally sweat... but like the girly sweat...my skin gets moist. It's not often beads of sweat are actually dripping off my face... It felt good, like a torturous, why am I doing this to myself kinda good! That's all for now, now off to drink my protein drink, which is surprisingly good!

Day 2


Well, day 2 of insanity almost didn't happen because my quads were hurt....in units. So I texted Meryl and said "we are supposed to be on a fairly strict meal plan and its overwhelming to figure that out and this is insane!! are we sure we can do this" Meryl said we will do this, we aren't quitting now! So I told her I would go pre stretch and massage my quads to prepare.
Lesson 2 was plyometric cardio circuit and man was I tired and sweating like never before. Meryl said in this 35 mins she sweat more than running on the treadmill for an hour.
But we got through it, didn't feel as sick and we are pumped to be doing it together.

Day 1

Today it came! Way faster than we expected...
So we broke open the box, dusted off our runners and posted up the wall calendar. The first workout was a 25 minute 'fit test'. I didn't know what quite to expect... But WOW I was sweating, huffing and puffing within 5 minutes, no joke. Note to self: do not eat pizza before workout. By the last 2 minutes my legs were like jelly. Then once stretching was over I really thought I was going to throw up.... But couldn't because my husband was hovering over the toilet almost puking for about 15 minutes... Then he came and laid down on the floor and hadabout a 10 minute muscle spasm in his calf... Lol, quite the first fit test!
So that was day one... It's gotta get better from here right? Well actually.., I have a feeling it won't. But we'll get through it! And we'll hopefully be buff too!

the dream.... maybe nightmare???


Today Brian and I were roped in by an infomercial. A quest to the body of our dreams in 60 days... this blog is going to be our journey of the next 60 days of intense workout. We will try to blog everyday after our workout and to record our success... if any... which i believe there will be! stay tuned, this could be interesting. our dvds are supposed to get here in about 7 business days, will keep you updated.
